Nurses Appreciation Week: Thank You

Nurses hold a special place in the hearts and lives of the chronic illness community. As we move in and out of doctors’ offices, treatment rooms, clinics, and hospitals, our nurses are the people who stand by our side and help us navigate a medical landscape that can be confusing and scary, even to the most experienced patients.

This week is Nurses Appreciation week, and we want to take this opportunity to say thank you to each and every one of the nurses who have cared for and supported the Mighty Well Team and our Friends in the Fight.

To every nurse in our lives, from home nurses to hospital nurses, to school nurses, thank you.

Thank you!

Thank you for always coming to greet us with a smile, even when we aren’t smiling back.

Thank you for the countless times you’ve popped your heads into our treatment rooms to check on us, letting us know that we are not alone.

Thank you for sneaking us extra heating pads and pillows before our infusions and blood draws, for always making sure we are comfortable.

Thank you for your eye contact, for your gentle nature, for always being there when doctors get to busy or need to rush out to see another patient.

Thank you for answering our questions, for helping to calm us down when we feel scared, and for making us laugh.

This week, and every week, we thank you.

When you chose this job, you didn’t do it because of the prestige, you chose this job to care for us, and we are eternally grateful for that support.

Our Story

Mighty Well - Founder - Emily Levy - Our Story

It all started with a cut off sock, a cute hockey player, and an 8 AM finance class. Oh, and a PICC Line. That moment inspired us to launch our first product, the PICCPerfect PICC Line Cover.

We know it stinks to feel defined by a diagnosis or feel like just a name on a doctor’s chart. Sounds like you? Read how our founder turned sickness into strength.
